Technical Lead – Generative AI, Open AI – Data Scientist

Location – Bangalore/Hyderabad

Job/Role Description:

• As a Lead Data Scientist specializing in OpenAI technology and Cognitive Services, you will lead the design and development of AI applications and models powered by OpenAI’s state-of-the-art models. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative AI solutions.
• Experience – 8 to 12 years.
• 5+ years of experience in AI-related roles, with a strong focus on OpenAI technology. 
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist/AI Developer with expertise in machine learning and data science. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Leading a team of GenAI developers and overseeing the design and implementation of GenAI projects. The Lead Data Scientist will also be responsible for providing technical guidance and leadership to the team and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. 
• OpenAI Model Development: Lead the design and development of AI models using OpenAI’s technology, such as GPT-3, GPT-4, or other language models. 
• Co-pilot and Semantic Kernel: Experience in creating Copilot apps, Copilot Studio, using semantic kernel in creating planners, plugins, manifestation. 
• Programming and Implementation: Write high-quality, efficient code in Python for AI model development, with a strong focus on OpenAI libraries and frameworks. 
• Algorithm Optimization: Optimize AI algorithms and models to improve performance, scalability, and accuracy, specifically in the context of OpenAI. 
• Data Preprocessing: Implement data preprocessing and feature engineering for inputting data to OpenAI models. 
• Training and Evaluation: Train, evaluate, and fine-tune OpenAI models using appropriate datasets and validation techniques. 
• API Integration: Integrate OpenAI models into software applications and systems, ensuring seamless functionality. 
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to translate project requirements into technical specifications. 
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for OpenAI models, algorithms, and best practices. 

Secondary Responsibilities: 

• Research: Stay updated on the latest developments in OpenAI technology, best practices, and emerging capabilities. 
• Proof of Concept: Participate in the development of proof-of-concept projects to explore the feasibility of OpenAI solutions. 

Primary Skills: 

• OpenAI Expertise: Extensive experience in working with OpenAI technology, including GPT models and fine-tuning, prompt flow, prompt engineering. 
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and expertise in OpenAI libraries and frameworks. 
• Data Preprocessing: Strong skills in data preprocessing, transformation, and feature engineering tailored for OpenAI models. 
• Performance Optimization: Proven ability to optimize OpenAI models for enhanced performance and scalability. 
• Azure Cognitive Services: Hands on experience in leveraging Azure Cognitive Services such as Cognitive Search and other services, integrating them with other applications. 
• API Integration: Experience in integrating OpenAI models into software applications using OpenAI APIs. 
• Documentation: Excellent documentation and communication skills. 

Secondary Skills: 

• Natural Language Processing (NLP): Familiarity with NLP techniques and pre-processing for text data. 
• Computer Vision: Understanding of computer vision concepts and frameworks (if applicable). 
• Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data tools and technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark (if applicable). 
• Databases: Knowledge of databases, including SQL and NoSQL systems. 
• Version Control: Proficiency with version control tools like Git. 
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile development environments. 

Additional Skills: 

• Hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI models using OpenAI technology for real-world applications. 
• Knowledge of best practices for evaluating and validating OpenAI models. 
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on OpenAI’s capabilities and limitations. 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
