Incorporating BHP™ (Bry-Air High Performance) Rotor with special Geometry and Chemistry
The customized rotor delivers an additional energy saving of up to 20% by reducing initial react energy input for equivalent performance of standard dehumidifiers.
Remote Control & Monitoring through Android devices for Bry-Air Dehumidifiers
The working principle of a BBS is divided into the below-mentioned processes:
Process Airflow
Moist air enters the dehumidifier through the intake grille and is drawn in by the process air fan. It then passes through a pre-filter to remove dust and other particles. The clean air then enters the dehumidification rotor (the desiccant wheel). This rotor is adsorbed with a desiccant material that attracts and holds water molecules. As the rotor rotates, the desiccant absorbs the water molecules, and the dried process air is discharged from the dehumidifier through the exhaust grille.
There is a variable frequency drive (VFD) to control the speed of the process air fan controlled by the BBS Brain. BBS Brain analyses sensor data and several other process inputs to optimise airflow to save energy. This allows for more precise process airflow control and optimises the dehumidifier’s performance.
The entire dehumidification process is managed in real time by the BBS brain, by optimizing the process inlet airflow, the reactivation airflow and other internal inputs and outputs, such that the process out airflow, remains the same. The system dynamicaly balances itself in real time, so as to maximise the energy benefits and yet delivering the required performance.
Reactivation Airflow
A separate stream of air, the reactivation air, is heated by the reactivation heater and passes through the desiccant rotor in the opposite direction. The heat from the reactivation air desorbs the water molecules previously absorbed by the desiccant. This water-laden air, the moist reactivation air, is then vented to the outside through the exhaust vent.
BBS Brain analyses sensor data and controls heater temperature to maintain optimal temperature for efficient desorption. There is a variable frequency drive (VFD) to control the speed of the Reactivation Air Flow. This allows for more precise process airflow control and optimises the dehumidifier’s performance. Bry-Air Super BrySmart can capture the heat from the moist reactivation air and preheat the process air, improving the dehumidifier’s energy efficiency.
Rotor Speed
The BBS brain automatically adjusts the speed of the desiccant rotor based on the current conditions, including the desired humidity level and the actual humidity level in the dehumidification zone.
This helps to optimise the performance of the dehumidifier and save energy.
The costs of dehumidifier repair and replacement outweighs that of regular maintenance and service. In addition regular and timely maintenance of dehumidifiers and other HVAC equipment
